Subject: 2008 Lincoln Trap & Skeet Club Summer Trap League

The 2008 Summer Trap League will begin on Wednesday April 16, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. and will run seventeen weeks including the 2 week qualification with the last regular shoot on August 13 providing we have no rainouts. There will be no League shooting on June 25st. This will allow shooters who want to participate in the Nebraska State Shoot at Doniphan Nebraska to attend.

Enclosed you will find a 2008 League calendar, invoice and a blank team rooster. We are asking you fill out the team roster this year so we can up-date our shooter files. Remember you can only have ten (10) members on your roster.

Please include all of the E-Mail addresses you have for you team members. This helps us defray postage cost and makes communication easier.

If you are not going to have a team this year please let me know as soon as possible as we have new teams waiting to come aboard.

If you are not a captain this year please pass this one the person who will be the captain for the team.

If you have more than one team participating please make copies of the invoice enclosed and submit them.

The sponsor fees will be the same as last year, $100.00 per team. This years target prices will be $55.00 per team per night to be paid at the clubhouse when picking up your weekly score sheets. Sponsor fees and rosters are due no later than March 21, 2008.

The picnic and awards night will be Wednesday August 27th, provided no rainouts. If rainouts occur the picnic will be moved accordingly.

As in the past you will shoot both short and long yardage on the same trap. You have 30 minutes to complete both rounds.

We will use the same classification system as in the past. Reviewing last year team averages to determine your division. New teams placement as always will be determined during the first two weeks of League shooting. Awards will go to the first and second place winners in a division.

I will determine if we will try the handicapping system after I see how close the teams are to each other. I welcome any input on this via phone or on a note back to me with your roster.

Please encourage your team members to consider membership at Lincoln Trap and Skeet. A strong club helps promote the shooting sports in Lincoln and also assures out ability to keep and improve our facilities.

Remember alcohol consumption is not allowed before or during shooting. It is each shooters responsibility to abide by this rule. It is the captain’s responsibility to make sure that his team members understand this rule.
